brake light

my brake light has been coming on and staying on at random. ill take off my parking brake, drive away and it will still be lit. it might shut off while cruising or after i hit the brakes, but it typically comes back on.

any ideas as to what it could be?

Have you checked the Master Brake Cylinder and see if it is low on fluid?

from what i know, brake fluid doesn't just evaporate..right? so wouldnt that just get rid of the light but not whats causing it?

Either that or you have a leak somewhere.
