Brake Cooling Ducts

sm76, those are awesome pictures of your MP3 road racing. I saw your wheels at sccaforums and was tempted... but then realized I have no need for them :D

If you guys do attempt this mod and need an extra/new set of brake dust plates, I have a set I'd let go of for like $7 shipped. When I ordered them, I thought they were something else. Oh well!

Thanks.
There may be another sm76, this is the only forum I have that name. So the wheels must be from someone else.
I'll keep the shields in mind. I may wind up welding a piece of 3" tubing to the shield to attach the hose. I haven't had a chance to look at the protege yet, I spent all day getting my Chevelle running. Maybe tomorrow.

Ah you are right, he had v710s on his Flik wheels. Maybe you should buy them or see if he'd trade them: http://sccaforums.com/forums/thread/198963.aspx

Well, I'm going to hold off on the cooling ducts for now. My car is so low, I don't have clearance for the inlets or the hoses to go under the car. And since I'm probably going to sell the car soon I don't want to cut the fenders in case the new owner won't want the ducts. The deciding factor was the problem with my axle was the inside cv joint and not the outer so I think it has more to do with the car having 95k miles on it than the heat from the brakes.

If someone were at stock height, I think attaching to the bottome of the lip and running along the plastic inner fenders to control arm would be the easiest route.
