Brake caliper pistons are all the way out (CX-5 2016)...Help!

Hi everyone, looking for some help on the issue here. I messed up when EPB was put in maintenance mode with no rear pads, the piston came all the way out of the collar.

Attempted to resolve it with no results:

1. Disconnected the EPB motor from the caliper. Used fancy brake tool with the notches that fit into the piston slot to rotate the piston counter clockwise while applying pressure. The piston wont rotate all the way back in.

2. Removed the motor assembly. turned the mechanism with a screwdriver still no luck.

There were some posts a few months ago of someone who resolved this situation. Do a search and you should find the threads. And hopefully it will work for you. Otherwise some have had to take it back to dealer.

EDIT: search the "screwed up brake job" thread by destroebl and see if that helps.
