Braille 17lb Battery

I have a Braille #17 "racing" battery I normally use when running my M Coupe, thought I'd stick it in the Mazda2 for fitment. It's not as great a weight savings as the heavier battery used in the M Coupe (42#) but is still a bit lighter.
Stock Panasonic 502DL approx. 29 lbs / 13.1 kg
Braille battery 17 lbs.
Since I only listen to the stock radio and don't have an exotic sound system, it shouldn't be a problem with excessive drain. I'll get back in a few days with any MPG or performance gain..doubt it....

I agree, 12lbs is 12lbs. I think once my battery is ready for replacement, I too will get myself a lightweight battery. Of course, seeing as how my car isn't even a month old yet, that time is a ways off.
