Mazda Protege Dx 2000
Hey i am from Puerto Rico, i have a protege 2000

I have a question that motor is better
BP,KZ or KL?

Never heard of a KZ engine myself.

Define better btw, such a vague question. Better at what breaking down?

As for performance I'd go with bp.the gtr Bp will hold 400 hp on stock internals and you can get them in the US for 1000-2000. There are a lot of differences internally in the motors such as rods cams and pistons so do some research on what you get

Kl will be great if you want 200-250 whp naturally aspirated

By kz ill assume you mean the klze which is a higher compression klde with better everything almost and makes 200 chp over the de's 160-170

If you are interested in going turbo, I'd recommend swapping a BP jdm turbo engine, get a 1.8's ecu and wireloom, and make it a mitsubishi ecu hybrid... meaning, running a Mirage locally flashable ecu and wireloom and run them in tandem, then tune the Mitsu ecu like if it was a stand alone. If you are in PR, you know what I'm talking about. Or you can always buy the jdm ecu and loom for a hiher price for stock specs

Hold up, can you do this same method for the b6t as well? I know the b6t Ecu will run the Bp

Id go KL with a turbo myself. The probe guys boost them left and right. The entire turbo manifold kit and downpipe can be bought for under $200 shipped even off ebay, and people make 300hp no problem running them.

You in theory, can run a b6t... but why when you can get a GTR(bp) for a little more and it's a newer beefier engine. About, the tandem thing, I've seen in done in turbocharged FPs, specially the twin hall sensor bpd, I figure that it can be done all others as well

From what I understand the aspirated KL is better than Bp, Bp is the best if it is turbo
I prefer to use NOS

because my car engine is the ZM-DE 1.6 and i don't know about motors

I already have a b6t. Stock internals can handle 300whp. Bp gtr can handle 400. $2k isn't worth 100 whp imo
