Plain and simple, if you have a MAF (MS3 included) then VTA is not a good choice, it will work, but will cause drivability issues. nothing changes at WOT.
Just run the BPV (recir)and get a CAI, you'll hear the noise.
 
I can hear mine pretty well but I don't have a CAI. If you don't I highly suggest gutting out your airbox, it's quick and easy and give a little more sound (to make me happy until I can get a CAI)
 
I got the Forge BPV yesterday and put it on. I love the sound it makes! And yes I have a CAI, the MS CAI. It is definately louder than the stock BPV also. I'm using the blue spring and not the yellow that came already installed in it. The car definately does feel different from the stock BPV. The boost seems to build quicker, especially after a shift. This is the recirc valve I'm talking about.

No ECU flash will be able to compensate for a VTA BOV with the stock MAF. You will either need to run a blow-through MAF after the BOV on the cold charge pipe or convert to MAP and run a standalone.
