BOV and washers??

I got a TurboXS BOV used on here and installed it with no problem. It holds boost great and made a pretty noticable diffrence. The member I bought it from gave me the 4 washers it came with and said I might need to use them. I'v had this thing on for about 2 months now and it's been fine but would it improve performance to add the washers or should I not bother? I need to change out a hose under there anyway so I was thinking o fpopping them in to see. Thanks for any help.

Im running 4 washers. When I wasnt using any it wasnt holding boost the way it should.
