Hi All,

Well, on a whim last night I went and bought a new 2003 Mazdaspeed Protege in Spicy Orange. I had a 2001 Nissan Sentra but their service department pissed me off so bad that I told them I was ditching the Nissan that very day and would never give them business again. It was between a WRX and the MSP and I chose the MSP because of how good all the mags have rated it plus the "limited edition" thing trips my trigger. I love the looks too and because I'm 6'8" tall I have plenty of headroom in this car.

I can't wait until the go fast goodies start coming out too....this thing runs such low boost that there's plenty of room to gain serious power.

Since I'm a noob on this forum and will be here all the time now I'll give a brief intro for anybody who's interested. I'm 32 years old work for an internet tech company here in North Carolina. I'm a motorcycle freak and my most recent purchase is a 2003 Yamaha R6. Previously I had an Aprilia Mille and a Yamaha V-Star....I keep the Aprilia Scooter around for commuting cuz it gets 100 mpg and keeps up with traffic well. I'm close to VIR (Virginia International Raceway) so I like to take my bikes there for track days and will be looking to run my new MSP there too. I love watching NBA basketball and any motorsport that doesn't involve going in endless circles (ahem...NASCAR)....my faves are MotoGP, AMA Superbike, World Superbike, World Rally, F1, and CART. I have an adorable wife who loves fast cars but HATES bikes so she just lets me do my own thing on that tip (heh heh). Well, that's me....thanks!

(hi)

Just so you know you run 6.9 PSI of stock boost and 10 PSI is the dead limit for your engines.

Hope you like the forum and glad to have you around.
:D

thanks all !!!!!

I was an easy sale cuz I really keep up with all the car mags so I already liked this car from the get go.....my salesman didn't know CRAP about the car though.....he was going on that it had 195hp and a front rollbar....then I said "rear too right?" and he was like "no, just in the front"......man, if I sold cars I'd know that thing down to the last nut and bolt. He was nice though.

While reading that very nice introduction, I could swear I heard that dating game music in the background! Anyway, welcome to the board loj68! Since you are letting everyone get to know you, you should check out the thread about what your name means (loj68?), Let us see that beautiful car, and any of the other threads that would let us get to know you more. Most of all enjoy yourself, this place is where I spend most of my day at work, makes time fly, just reading all the great information, and hillarious things that people say! peace out

The car can't possilbe guarentee 6.5-6.9 it will go to almos 7 now and again from its design alone. However no one will beable to sustain a reliable car above 10 PSI. If you doubt me up your boost and we will speak again in 3 months.
