OOOHHH! The World Of Wheels Auto Show is at the Bayside Expo Center January 9-11!!!! Anybody from the New England area wanna have a meet there on that Saturday around 3 or so in the afternoon? I know I was planning on going to the show, and I think others would love it. Check out the show stuff at www.worldofwheels.com, and I know last year they had performance parts there too. People can also look into putting their cars in that show! OOOHH I really hope people wanna come, cuz this could be fun. The bayside expo center has a huge parking lot so I'm sure we could find an empty area for a pic of all the cars, and we can show the cars off then go and see the amazing cars in the show! People let me know! IM me on aim for fastest response! This would be my first mazda meet and I really wanna go to one!

Thanks!

I'll probably go I havent been in years. My uncle used to always have motorcycles in the show.

Nice! Hopefully we can find some more people to go too and have a nice meet! Does that Saturday at like 3 in the afternoon sound good? I hihly recommend this show to ANYONE in New England if you want to see some very nice modified cars and very nice stock cars. You will be able to buy performance parts there too and see some celebrities!

I went last year and was very unimpressed.

I remember going when I was a kid an seeing the Dukes of Hazzard Car, hot rods, and everything.

There were too many cars last year that didn't belong there. Badly riced out hondas and 80s mustangs. I didn't go to the "World of Wheels" to see a bunch of honda civics, I could drive through boston and see that. There were also some cars that were obviously there for their stereo systems...but the systems were not any better than I could do.

There were some good things about the show though...

The best part must have been the "Guess that car" competition. They had a late 70's car that had been compressed in a car crusher and people could make guesses on what it was. Enthusiasts were trying to find vin numbers and identify the bumpers.

I also saw a real nice Supra and there was plenty of representation from the 80's...a generation that gets lost between "Hot Import Nights" and "Classic Club Shows". 442s, Monte Carlos, GNXs, etc...

I'll probably go if you get a gathering.

Yes, I agree there were some boring civics that you see everyday, however that yellow supra was incredible, and there were some really amazing cars there. There was a really nice saleen mustang, donald trump's past lamborghini diablo vt, some nice custom bikes, and lots of other nice cars. If you people dont want to go to the show that's ok, but I do reccommend it, and it would be cool to just have a mazda get together and drive around maybe.

Thanks!

I'll try and make it. =) I'll let you know as the date gets closer, though. I'll invite my roomie, too, with his Miata.

Yeah...I'm thinking about this...I'm going to a Sevendust show earlier in the week, so we'll see how the rest of the schedule pans out! :D

Ok...so the show is this weekend! Who's coming now? I have a few discount coupons for the show too if anybody comes I'll give them out.

Lemme find out exactly what I'm up to this weekend. I think I may be able to fit it in if I feel better. Stoopid cold...

Let me see what't going on this weekend I may go. I have to call some people first.

Yeah screw it I'll just go. I will try and get some other heads together too.

How about 4? We could all meet at some part of the gigantic parking lot. Or we could meet earlier. Anybody got any ideas?

remember, it might be pretty cold, so we may want to take that in to consideration? are some of you going to the show too?

I don't know the area too well. I know how to get there that is about it. I don't care where or when we meet. Are we talking about saturday or sunday? I've got both days free.

Doh. I read the title and answered my own question. So I guess all that's left is deciding on where we are going to be meeting. I am pretty sure you have to pay to park too so keep that in mind.

Ah...I'd love to go see you guys, but I'm not sure that the show is my bag. Looks a little hokey...while I do enjoy hot rods, I can go check those out locally during the summer every Monday (Mark's Auto Parts Monday Cruise...Largest in NE). I was kinda hoping to see something with some aftermarket presense for these types of cars...kinda like HIN. Actually, I'm sure when HIN comes back around there'll be a bunch of us raring to go. I think Slug had mentioned that a while back.

On top of that, it's like a 3 hour drive one way for me...being that I'm out of work, it's a little hard to swallow driving that far.

Speaking of cold...I feel for anyone who is going to tough it out on Saturday for the Pats...it is going to be ass-cold Saturday night!
