2006 Mazda 3 S Touring
I just bought a 2006 Mazda 3 S touring and I don't know much about the stereos they come with. I have been told that I have the Bose but I don't see the name anywhere on it. My stereo does have the tweeters on the two from doors and a 6 disc CD with speed valume. Would anyone be able to help me id if I have one or not?

When you turn on the car, the center display will say Bose if you do, otherwise, you don't.

Also, on the speaker grills on the doors.. there will be BOSE emblems...

(unless someone removed them like I have on my car)

that's not truth because my speed6 have the BOSE emblems on the speaker grill and when you turn the radio on the center display say BOSE but when I install my ipod conector the radio on the back label says that the radio was built by matsushita electronic wish means Panasonic.

Bose doesn't make any of their own stuff.. they just engineer solutions with other companies products.

I guess that I don't have the Bose then. is the bose that much better then the regular 6cd with tweeters and does anyone know the watts per channel on my systems?

Yes the Bose is much better - almost passable in fact.

Well, that covers the head unit, but what about the amp and sub, hm?
The main differences (speakers aside) between the 2 systems offered for the 3 are that the non-bose head unit does its own internal equalizing, whereas the bose setup sends an almost flat signal to the bose amp under the driver's seat.
The head for the bose system was also flashed so the display says Bose Sound when you turn the car on.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is the case for all bose car-audio systems--they just build an amp/processor and supply speakers to attach to the factory head...
