boostcontroller problem help please

my buddy and i were installing a boost controller and on the wastegate there are 2 vacume lines. the vacume lines run from the wastegate to a sensor of some sort. my buddy broke one of the plastic pieces the hose clamps onto. now im over boosting even with the controller off. what is that sensor?

that is your boost control solenoid.... you have to buy a newone if your going to use it, i bypassed mine

i tee'd off the bypass valve vac line as a boost source in to the mbc, and out the boost controller to the bottom wastegate nipple

capped the nipple on the turbo (it has a restrictor pill, no good unless you use an electronic bc)
capped the wastegate top nipple
unplugged the boost control solenoid and left the hoses..

*disclaimer- im not responsible if you set your boost to high or otherwise do anything that causes damage to your car and/or engine

Fix the boost control solenoid, then keep the boost controller off. If you want to raise boost pressure, buy an AP or Standback. You'll thank me when you don't pop your motor from overboosting.

the car has its ways of managing boost and by removing these precautions like steve said the car does not have control over whats going on. I know that may not sound like a bad thing but thats where you hear about boost creep and boost spike. listen to steve, he may be old... (jk) but he sure knows a thing or two about these cars.
