I have a stock mazda 3 and i saw one with a hiboost turbo installed. my question is that i see an intake installed and it is necessary for the turbo to operate but would it be a cold air or ram air I am concerned with HYDROLOCK

May have better luck in the turbo section of the forum... as with any CAI that gets installed hydrolock will be an issue depending on where it is mounted... the lower it is the higher the risk of hydrolocking... btw the air intake is needed regardless of turbo :)

Having said that compared to other cars the Mazda 3 actually rides somewhat high so risk would be lower.... I wouldnt worry about it in southern ca for example but I prob would if I lived in Florida...
