im running a solid 5.5PSI with spikes upto 7.5PSI on a GT3076RS
runs pretty well with an occasional fuel cut here and there but mostly in 1st or 2nd gear

Man, with those 19's I would think you'd be pushing at leat 9 psi :)

im scared to go even to 8PSI... wouldn't be so bad if i had a spare motor on the side

I was running stock boost and it would spike to 9...but I didn't go into boost often. Maybe around 10 times in 5 months lol.

yup but im at 5-6PSI with some spike on a much larger turbo... that's probably why i get some fuel cut because there's just too much damn air.. but mostly because im scared :) to go higher

Well, I guess with a bigger turbo you don't have to run the extra boost. I was on the stock one. Got any motor pics?

Bigger turbos flow more air so even though it's a lower pressure there's more air going through. He's no where close to maxing out the 3071 though, their efreciency range is in the 20+psi area.

check my sig link... the closer to the bottom the newer the pics

before you start playing with any boost get a boost gauge!!. I'm running a Gt28RS with the stock EMS. That will change eventually but I'm only at 6 psi. The downpipe itself could be better but that midpipe needs to go for sure. Although the Stock exhaust iis decent the vibrant or corksport are great improvements and value. The plastic intake piping and Side mount intercooler aka super heat soaker 9000 is what really criples this car.
do youself a favor and read this thread

All your questions will be answered !!!

ok very nice but i already have custom exahust piping 3" eliminated the rear cat, back to a 3" magnaflow and for a bov i want to vent to atmosphere is this going to be a problem if i decide to go with all this at 10 psi

You made a great start then. The only 2 ways to vent to air, without running into issues are the dual BOV and BPV set-up which allows you to keep MAF in stock location (search kill turrkey V2) or relocate the MAF to the cold pipe, and mount the BOV any where before it. I personally like the the single BOV method with the relocated MAF, it has a clean less clutterred look, plus has less parts involved that have potential to fail.
I also think the Hot pipe is the proper placement for the BOV with this set-up. That way your venting Hot air vs. venting good cold air. Some people like to mount the BOV on the cold pipe then the MAF so many inches after (MAF doesn't like turbulance) by running them on separate pipes, you bypass all those issues as well.

i just got done with a maf relocation and i must say, i cannot believe i didnt do this before! my type s bov sounds so good, a nice, clean, loud dump, no turkey.
