Boost Leak,

New MSP 2003.5 Owner !
Bought in NYC drove back to DC Area.
Car was flawless, boost is amazing could barely hold on the wheel when I take off ! LOL
The next couple of days I notice my boost wasn't there when I start off 1st 2nd 3rd gear... when its needed the most,
I hear it spool, I see the gauge pushin 10 PSI, no pull, change gear I hear it thru the BOV...
Where do I start to diagnose it ?

scanning youtube vids and what not...

welcome, what was the gauge indicating before you felt the lose in power?
If you have a leak but its still eventually reaching full boost but still no power could be the turbo is getting over spun and starting to just create heat.(more heat = same pressure but lower air density= low power)
Pressure test the charge pipe system with an air compressor listen for leaks and put soapy water on couplers and other possible problem areas.

Not over spinning it at 10 psi.

If its an eBay bov pull it apart and check the diaphragm and bottom oring. My oring ripped on one and did the same thing.

While its cold start it up and run your hand around the flange and make sure its not leaking, that will cause the same thing plus make it laggy. Also pull all of the intercooler piping off and check it thourouly.

If none of those are it check the waste gate

I made a boost leak tester, now I need to test it soon ! Its a bad leak, should be an easy find, I feel the compression escaping when its fully spooled !

Stock IC and piping or aftermarket? The factory plastic hot pipe frequently cracks/snaps at the nipple for the BPV.

like I said in another thread if you don't end up having a leak a loss in power could be caused by your ac being stuck on
