Yeah only the new "pro" line that just came out comes with the cup. I have 4 prosport gauges (egt, oil temp, oil pressure, and boost, all electronic) and none of them came with it.

It has been accurate and reliable for me so far (used them for 2 months now. The amber/white models can actually display red too if you don't hook up the white or orange wires. I know the amber is red enough to match the MS6 interior lighting pretty much dead on, but on my Protege the lighting is more red so the red is a much closer match.

No they shouldnt interfear with the airbags.

Not sure this should be posted here. But my question is about the type of boost gauge to buy. Mechanical or electrical? Which one provides results with less needle fluctuation or bounce? Will installing a boost gauge void warranty?

Boost gauge will not void any warranties, due to the fact that you are only observing vacuum you are not changing anything. Plus the dealer will have to prove that your gauge caused a part to go bad. In which case will never happen unless you dont have a clue how to install.
Mechanical is the best way to go, simply cause you know what the motor is reading in real time. The electronic has to do a self check everytime(in most cases) and may not be exact in its calabration. With a mechanical you will know if it is out of calibration real fast (engine off should be reading 0). I think it is a matter of opinion and preference on which one to go with.

I just got the prosport gauges, boost, oil pressure and volt 4 now. Much nicer than the motions of mechanical gauges. Color match is the best I have seen.. Boost reading are 14-15.5 in upper gear up from the 12-13 I usually saw from my stewart warner gauges. I checked the stewart warner with my air compresser and they were accurate with a steady pressure. I not sure why these are higher?They have peak hold and warning so thats pretty sweet to. I see peaks of about 18 in 5-6th gears. Anyone else have them. I notice the start up ceramony is the same with the boost and volt but the oil lags behind .25 seconds??? 18psi oil pressure at hot idle and 90psi cold at 3.5k or so.. I have had a few sets of mechanical and will say, I will never buy mechanical again....These work much quieter,smoother,and look to be more accurate with reading others are getting...(boom07) (gun)

I wouldnt place a pillar over the side air bags, if they go off that thing will probably fly right in your face.

These 2 pics are Desperado-C's install. Mine looks almost identical though.
