boost controller on stock k04?

has anyone put a manual boost controller on the stock k04? just curious is its worth it to help with the boost drop in the higher rpm range. i come from the the subaru side of turbo awd cars and am new to the ms6 side of the house. if anyone has done this and had good results plz let me know.

ok so i got my answer from a different post that didnt pertain directly to the question i had but still got the info. so now i want to ask, is there anything that can be done to the car to eliminate the boost drop without buying a new turbo

How drastically is it dropping? All turbos have a "peak" boost and then drops and holds only a few lbs less then peak. If it's spiking to ~20lbs and then dropping drastically, it sounds like a boost leak. Is this the case?
