Hey I just wanted to ask some basic turbo questions that I dont understand fully yet.. This is my 1st turbo car I have never adjusted boost, how do you know what your boost is ? is there a cool digital gauge I can get or is there some way to know by clicks or turns on a waste gate , I guess I just dont understand the full idea of boost reading.
Witch this leads me to my next question , is there a "all in one" deal that I can get to adjust boost , turbo timer, boost gauge (digital) and that will give me a all around better running faster car? I dont know much about the air fule some good sources say go with that AEM wideband a/f and boost gauge then get the aem computer EMS. please feel free to help out, with any free advise !

Boost pressure is read by positive pressure in the system. Digital gauges aren't always correct, but neither are mechanical if they aren't calibrated accurately. I suggest using a mechanical boost gauge and then an electronic boost controller such as the Greddy ProfecB. It will control boost aswell as give a digital boost reading.

If you keep your boost at around 8-9psi you shouldn't need a wideband o-2 to monitor a/f as the stock ecu should be doing it job just fine. Once you hit 10+ its good to have one just as a reference. Plus if you decide to buy a piggyback ecu later on, the wideband will be very helpful during tuning.

read up man, thats all i have to say, i'm sure someone will come on here and give you the normal list of things but my advice is to read until you understand that stuff then start messing with boost if you feel ducky and realize the risks.

Corksport has a catback? That is news to me. I wonder if they know. I'm assuming that eitheryou have the full downpipe back or you customized it.

I understand, i've been here since november of 03 and i still learn new stuff everyday.

its actually a downpipe back exhaust. If it were a cat back it would begin after the cats leaving them intact....

Enjoy your new car for a while and don't rush things. Once you understand everything a little better then start modding what you understand. It will be easier for people to answer your questions once you have a good base of general knowledge and are asking more specific questions.
