i was wondering has anybody purchased one of these and what is your output good or bad? I really dont want to spend lots o money for a cai i can buy this one for 80$ shipped...Do you all think its worth it or not?
www.bomzracing.com it is atleat 2 pieces so i can make it a SRI in the winter here in delaware depending on the type of winter we get...let me know what you guys think....

Does that even have a hole for the MAF? I would bet my cai on the fact that if you buy the intake it will throw a CEL.

Yea it has a hole for the MAF....it even comes with (2) screws to mount it on to the CAI....

its proly good...u have to make a shield for rain and stuff urself...but if it looks liek it will fit the regular 3 go for it man...80 bucks is cheap and its the same s*** as ev erything else...piping and holes for sensors

If you do... replace the filter with an AEM dry flow or something, piping is pretty much all the same IMO.

Well this is for a 5dr whitch i think this will still work on...But that what im sayin i just cant justify paying for a 230$ intake right at the moment when i could buy this and it be a trial and error type thing. Thanks for lookin out guys i will buy in 2 week more than likely have so big bill coming in just paid for a beach house to rent for 4 day down in Ocean city,MD...Once installed i will let you guys know how it worked and sound....

just go for one of the simota intakes from protophile here on the forum they are tried and true and around the same price.

I'm told this is an imitation Injen CAI with a lesser filter.
I'm also told of you're gonna use this.. it's a good idea to get one of those Hydroshield sleeves with it to reduce the risk of hydrolock and water penetration.

hmmm.... I had a little experience with bomz racing, not with the intake but with another item

fit/finish was not very good, had to keep tightening nuts/screws, etc but I suppose locktite would help.

other than that -- on my new $25k car, I don't believe I'll be using e-bay hardware store type products that have NOT been thoroughly tested

I'd stay away from Bomz on a brand new turbo car to ne honest. I read a thing on "imitation" car parts a few weeks back adn they are cheaper for a reason. The filter is probaly a halfassed knock off that won't filter very well. Get dirt adn stuff in your throttle body/motor and you're boned. Warranty won;t cover it because you put the intake on adn it will be very clear that it was the cause. Generally I'm all for saving $ but in this case I'd just save the extra and at least get a Fujita. There is a guy on here selling one prettty cheap. Seriously....get something like this for you're winter beater but please don;t install it on a new FI car.
