ARGH!!!!

44 days in the body shop.

called them and they said its finally ready.

talked about the extra damages I saw last time I went up there
to pick up my baby.

then just before I was going to hang up the shop guy goes. Oh, btw. when they pulled the tire off to replace the wheel there was tire damage inside and they had to replace it. But they told me they don't make the stock tire anymore so they replaced it with a federal tire.

:wtf: :bs: They replaced just one tire? I had 25k miles on them
and they just put one brand spanking new tire on the front
that doesn't even match. Why the hell didn't they call me and
ask me what I wanted!!!!

damn ignorant fools. sorry just ranting. Now I gotta call the
insurance adjuster to see what I can work out.

Bomb the mothafuka's.

(blowup)

No really, I'm sure you guys down south have the better business bureau??

I had no idea that Federal made a tire in the 195/50/16 variety. Sounds sketchy to me. Tell them for safety reasons you would like a matching set of tires. They HAVE to do it.

*edit* Well I stand corrected. I just looked on Federal's website and they do make a tire in that size.

they said they put a ss535 tire on.

I have never heard of these federal tires. If they are
good then I'd be okay, but if they were the cheapest then
it throw down time. and I'll have to kick somebody.

Quoted from FederalTire.com:
The SS 535 sports-type ultra-high performance tire is developed for car enthusiasts who especially require superior handling performance. Federal's fundamental TTIC technology and newly developed M.P.O. (Magnify Performance Optimization) technology take the performance of the SS 535 to an un-precedented level throughout the whole life of the tire.

- Flange protector protects alloy rims form curb damage
- Hex form bead profile efficiently locks tyre onto wheel rim
- Three Radius Tread Arc (T.R.T.A) delivers even pressure across the contact patch
- Opti-noise technology for a quiet ride
- Uni-directional tread pattern
- SUPER STEEL 535

The SS 535 doesn't look too bad. The only one listed better than it is the SS 595 (ZR/VR rated) But the SS 535 would be more all weather performance providing you better handling in the rain and stuff.

Sucks it took you so long to get your car back. I'd see how much it would cost to get the other 3 tires replaced so you can have even wear across the board.

ya no s***.. my truck was in one for 4 months..... for a damn cinder block hitting it.... well they did color change it for me though.

talked to my insurance adjuster.

well the sucky sucky part is that they will only pay a partial
amount for my 1 new tire. Since my old tires had 25k miles
they won't buy me a brand new one.

:wtf: I didn't asked to get rear-ended. I would consider
this as punitive damage assessment and compensation.

talked to the tire shop and he said its $98/tire with mounting
and balancing if I want to replace all the others too.

bah. I guess I'll just pay out to get my baby back tomorrow.
I have to go home and blow something up on the ninetendo
to get rid of my anger now.

If you were rear ended, how come you didn't go through the other guy's insurance? Then you wouldn't have had to make a claim on your own policy and you would have had more bargaining power with the other company.

Either way...I'd keep the reciept for all the tires replaced and fax it over to the other person's insurance company and demand for them to reimburse you. It might be a pain, but it will be well worth it in the end. Now if the other person didn't have insurance...well that just plain sucks. Good Luck.
