BMW M3 Wheels on Protege???

Hey guys...I know this is a long question but I was curious if anyone knew how hard it would be to put M3 Wheels on my protege..I'm getting them for free. "The 18x8 alloy wheels have a 10 spoke design and a 5 lug 120mm 47mm offset bolt pattern." Is there any way and if so what size tires would I have to look into? I have not done a search yet but i'm going to in a second.

theres gotta be someway. their free! ha. well i don't have them in my possesion yet. my bro said 100 dollars and my wheels i could have them! so i gotta figure something out cause my wheels are bent bad! plus if all else fails i could do the swap and sell the bmw wheels for a lot...

I was unaware that proteges and M3's have the same bolt pattern

well i tried! haha. my bro is gonna keep them for his car. they are freaking sweet! 10 spoke, gunmetal...i knew they wouldn't but it was a thought!

lol, wonder if the fact that BMW's have bolts instead of lugnuts would have affected anything

no, it doesnt, it is because they are too wide, offset is too low and bolt pattern is different.

my brother is inssisting that the wheels will fit. i told him they wouldn't b/c of the offset and width, but he says that you can get adapters off ebay or shops online and have them fit. any information that i can tell him otherwise or otherwise?

if you wnat them so bad then tell your brother to get them and prove that they will fit and then you will take them lol but im like everyone else that they wotn fit.

i know they won't fit as well, but he insists so i told him, "ok you buy the adapters from ebay or w/t and we'll try it out! If they fit i'll give you 100 bucks and my old wheels in a heart beat and pay you for the spacers, if not well you gotta hassell getting rid of the adapters etc." haha. don't think he's to crazy about it now. haha

i wish i knew of some rims that looked like these m3 wheels. this is pretty much the rim i want for my car multi spoke gunmetal. kind of like bbs's etc

have you looked for a replica wheel and see if you can order it in your bolt pateren? it might cost a bit more but hey if you want them so bad go for it.

They bolt up to your hub to adapt a different bolt pattern.

I wouldn't use em because they'll destroy your wheel bearings at a much faster rate.

well if your really determined, find out what the offset is for the rx8 wheels. Those are 18x8 also. There in the low to mid fifties I think. I have no idea what the minimum thickness is on a adaptor, but it would prob put you up to or past the wheel wells. Then you'll prob want a euro fender stretch to go with the wheels. Then you'll prob wish you had an e30 or something after all the trouble. I think they would look too big on an lx pro though
