Blue tooth Phone Setup

Cannot set up a second phone on the 2009 gt cx9 with Nav. I ask for setup, then pairing option. At this point the system shuts off. I have my phone in discovery mode but nothing happens.
The phone was setup once before and worked but when my wife and I were both on the car my phone would be the primary phone. We didn't want that so I delete my phone from the menu. Now it seems my phone will never work???

Additional info

Can't delete my phones. Can't add any phone. WTF?

I'll be calling "hands free customer service" on Monday when they open.

I have 2008. The NAVI and BT are different from those of 2009.
So, I am guessing here.
I learned from other forum that the BT with A2DP audio needs to pair twice (for phone and for audio streaming). And, probably need to unpair twice as well. That would be my guess. Try to think along that line.

Blue Tooth Update

Called customer service and easy fix. had to go into my phone and remove Mazda from devices. Then Setup phones again via voice commands. Setup, Pairing Options. Gave 4 digit pairing code then phone had to be bluetooth activated and pairing occurred. Did this with both phones. Now to read manual to import/add new phone numbers!(nailbyt)

I had a problem where my phone lost its connection and I was unable to get through the voice menu (2009 Touring w/o navi) to reconfigure. The voice menu would just quit out on me before I could complete any setup. Spent time with Bluetooth support on the phone and here's what we did.
1) Went through voice menu to delete all phones. (This took multiple tries because the system repeatedly dropped me before completing the operation.)
2) Deleted Mazda device from the phone (iPhone 3G).
3) Turned off the car and opened/closed drivers door to complete the shutdown.
4) Turned on the car and then went through pairing procedure from scratch.

Things seem to work fine. Some things that I learned:
1) Mazda's bluetooth support is pretty helpful.
2) Sitting in Park, talking to your car, turning the car off/on, opening/closing doors, etc. makes you feel pretty silly.
3) Unexplainable problems that can only be fixed through a reboot make the car feel more like a computer.
4) Pressing the Listen button (bottom rightmost button on steering wheel) allows you to respond to the voice menu without listening to all the options.
