Blown Speaker

my sub stopped working after 2 weeks, but i pulled the sub out and found that the wires on the sub that go from the terminal posts to the voice coil were loose.be careful if you take the sub out because they used blue loctite on the screws and they will strip out if you arent careful.

my sub went out too! can i take this to the dealer, or is it a kenwood problem. Overall, it seems like all the speakers lost power.

its a 10 inch sub right?

why not just rip it out and put in something better
you can use the same box and amp

Mine blew after about 2 hours. Got it replaced under warranty and it blew about 5 minutes after i got it back. I'm starting to get mad.

what 8" JL Audio speaker do you suggest? i'm not up on my audio stuff

hmmm, now you have to make me think
a W7 would probably be to deep

1stMp3inNH would probably have a better idea of what could fit

notorious,
so did you just take it to the dealership, i checked the fuse today and it was fine, could it possibly be some lose wires? i'll probably end up going to some audio place tomorrow before work. When your sub went out, did the sound of the rest of the speakers go to s***, because it also's very weak right now. Thanks

It did sound weaker but I think its just because the other speakers don't really produce bass. The actual sub is blown the amp works fine and everything is supposedly connected. I just dragged my old 2 10 inch kenwood subs from my old car and hooked them up to the amp. No problems and sounds pretty good. Hope that helps a little.
