Blizzak LM-22 215/45/18 on closeout at TireRack

After my mini drift session last night i think i'll be picking these up. AS not working for me. got stuck a couple of times.

Anyone use these on our cars before? Do they offer as much difference as the reviews tend to say they do? Anyone suggest other options for mild winters with the occasional snow like we have here in the south?

I've previously used the LM-25s on my old Protege with good luck. Great treadlife, quiet, and gripped like mad in the snow.

For the lighter winters, I don't know if I'd shell out the money on dedicated winters unless you're consistently getting temps under 50 deg., otherwise you run the risk of wearing them prematurely.

Ah, Gotcha. Yeah, I was a little worried about that. Figured they might get eaten up pretty fast if used in the mild winters we have. Thanks for the advice!

just picked up a set and had them installed yesterday because of the snow we got in VA couldnt get around in my factory tires. I will post again after they break in a bit.

these tires are great.. had them for 3 weeks now.. been snow drifting in them and all .. they stick like its a dry summer day.. and i can climb nice hills when its snowy out with no problems.. the was an AWD audi A6 trying to get up a hill with all 4 tires spinning and i just cruised right by him and smiled lol.. i would deff. recommend them.

I put a set on my 6i last winter and loved them. I liked them so much, i bought a second set and put them on my wife's car and transfered my old tires to my MS6. They're great in the snow and decent on ice (well, as decent as any tire is on ice). I recommend them, as do most of the reviews on tirerack. NH got a ton of snow last year and they worked great. We haven't gotten too much this year unfortunately.

I picked up a set earlier this week, should be here tomorrow or Monday, and get installed on Tues. I can't wait to see how much different the car drives with proper tires, and I hope we've got some snow to test them out on.

I ended up biting the bullet and taking them in to get mounted and balanced last night. We got hit with snow and are predicting more soon, so I didn't wanna wait. So far, they're very quiet, predictable, and chew up snow like I remember my old Blizzaks. I recommend them. I'll have more feedback in a week when I get some mixed mileage on them.
