if you do it all in 2 days, its pretty easy to remember... and with a digital camera, and carefully labeling all hardware during removal, its basically a snap.... my strong vote is, assuming you have the time... you develop the skills so that you can end up saving yourself a ton of cash long run.I would not be able to do the swap myself. I can take parts off right there with the best of them. It is putting things back together that suck for me.![]()
other than the fact that a buyer will want to know how/why the motor needed to be replaced.... its a double edged sword. And it's a decent selling point that the new motor will probably have relatively low mileage.
fixed. and I completely agree. as a non-runner its nearly worthless. hard to get people to pay for work. hahaVery true, but still, better to get a car that already got the motor swapped/rebuilt as opposed to still needing a swap/rebulid. Just gotta be a good salesman. A selectively honest salesman.![]()
ROFL. Well I have a couple people looking at it for themself with the blown motor. I may just do it that way and take a little less then parting it would get me.![]()
I think this is a foolish move... you'll come out a lot furter ahead and put in less work if you get it runnin again.OK!
SO now I am getting interest in local people for parts first (I dont like shipping big items) and then go from there. Right now it is looking at a part out of MP3 717.
It will be a week or so before I get it to my parents to start parting.
I will post in the for sale section once it is ready to go and after the local parts are taken. Thanks!
