Black tape fully removed around door frame...

Took me about 3 hours to do it right all by hand, piece at a time. Once the tape was off, there is a tiny bit of adhesive, just use soap/water/soft towel and wipe it (you may have to rub a bit) the adhesive off. I then waxed these areas. My friend who has tint looked at my car and wants to do it also (even with black dark tint) because it does look better - the tape is s*** - even if you have a black car, it is painted black with clearcoat (color of car) which looks better than the flat black crap.

sounds like a project for tonight.

and while im at it might as well take off the side moldings

I like to leave mine black since with tinted windows it makes the window area flow a little better.
I agree. While it looks cool now, it would look like crap tinted IMHO.

I have to agree. It looks pretty good now, but would break up the continuity of the windows if they were tinted.

what kind of a gap did it leave between the surrounding body and the door frame's surface ? because i know that that tape sure doesn't stick out when it's on there.

I don't understand, please explain.

i know that the surfaces of the door frame and the surrounding body don't sit flush. so is the door frame surface deeper than the rest of the body ?

For the guy who did it on his Titanium... please post pictures!! I want to get my mind straight before I start pulling. Worst comes to worst, I cant always go to a vinyl sticker shop and have them remade I guess.

Looks good.. not entirely noticeable, but still a good free mod.

My car's black anyways, so theres point in doing it to my car.

I'll get you some pictures tonite or tomorrow of my titanium grey.

Haven't tinted my windows yet, but I can see what some of you guys are saying. If anything I'd pull it off so I don't have to dry that section off so quickly when I wash the speed. I get some mean water spots. My only time I get to wash the speed is usually the worst(afternoon)

how much do you think the tape weighs? Less weight= Bett3r

I don't think my brakes can take 5 more mph...there warped enough after the first run. I guess I'll be leaving the tape on for now....oh well.
