wow that looks pretty different...i'm not sure if i want to remove mine though and i don't know why about that one either

guess it's too early in the morning... I don't see what you are talking about in the pics?

ahh... I will have to check mine out to see the difference. Is there a reason for the black tape?

Some people have it and some don't. From what I've heard on 02 P5's they don't but later models do. Doesn't matter w/mine b/c I've got a black P5 anyway. Bah. But that looks fantastic 03msp!!! (2thumbs)

Just saw your site, 03msp, and I LOVE what you've done. Quality, clean work. Awesome. :D

why the hell didnt they do that from the factory, i think it looks much better

Is there a chance that water could get in the car without the tape around the windows? (There must be a reason for that tape to be there)

Umm no. You just remove the tape, not the rubber weather stripping. I guess it's just there for looks. Some people like it better with and others without. I might take mine off after seeing this.

I like to leave mine black since with tinted windows it makes the window area flow a little better.

You just peel that black off and it's body color!? Are you kidding me? Who's the guy that figured that out! lol Do you have any more close up pictures of that?

I like how it comes black, it adds a nice border and looks better if the windows are tinted. But that's different, I'll have to think about doing it for a while. :)

Nice work on your car man, you've done some pretty cool things.

The tape is purely for aesthetics (instead of black paint like on my MPV minivan). What I noticed after I took mine off is when you drive take some time to look at all the other cars. 90% of them are all black like ours, it must be some time of "industry acceptance" or something. I can tell you, up front in real life it looks really nice.
