No, I didn't paint this one. I manage a body shop, so I have a kick ass painter whenever I need him. I can paint, but not nearly as good as my painter, and I wanted it to be perfect. There are about 7 colors in the black mica, so color match is hard when you're only painting one panel. I'll leave that one to the pro! The body work wasn't overly challenging though. A little panel bond, a little fiberglass, some poly fill, and a lot of blocking!

Jchouin1, that is some EXCELLENT job!!! The funniest thing is a week ago I bought used WRX scoop to attach it on the hood in some weeks, just to make air run through engine-back area, and din't know how it looks like... And today I found your pictures!
I think I can't make it so smooth as you did, but your Version1 also looks very nice to me!
BTW, have you noticed any decrease in turbine area temperature after scoop installation?

Thanks buddy! I have never taken a temp reading, but I'm sure it works. I especially love seeing the heat pour out of it at a stop light. With my exmani, I'm sure the heat would have eventually baked the paint off my hood! I am going to fab up a hinged flapper under the hood to close it off for heavy rain and snow. I'll take some pics when it's done.

PS: last weeks here were very hot, around +37-38C (about 100F, which is 12-14C higher than average) so I started heatsoaking hardly and was dreaming about the scoop everytime I say WRX or STI
Now I see how that dream is looking on a black hatch!

no spacers? looks good. are you on your h&r coils in these pictures? and you saying better fitment andf more low are you trying to make it lower and tuck the wheels with - camber like wrongfitcrew?
