I've got a 2000 SE Miata with a rather peculiar problem - the tape deck is possessed. I cannot switch from the tape input - I can't even turn the audio console off! If I try to turn it off, it turns back on. If I try to switch to AM/FM or CD, it'll switch back to tape input. Has anyone else experienced this problem or know how I can fix it? Is the whole console just on the fritz?
