Bino's P5 Build

after spending a couple of hours in orlando... i can now see how much gainesville sux... the cars in Orlando are not the ones to mess with... even though i didnt take my car, yet, it was a lot of fun going from meet to meet and different spots until the cops came and made everyone scatter... didnt see too many Mazda's but i saw a group of Mazdaspeed3s roll together... a black one, a cosmic blue one, and a red one... and the chick was driving the bluish gray one.... it was pretty cool to see all that.... a bunch of FCs idk if they were boosted or not... and some FBs with 350s in them... saw some MX-6s but none with the KL-ZE quality.,.. not even KL-DE...:(
and i only saw stock MP5s... where u guys at?!?!?!
but it was really cool to see orlando's spirited bunch

interesting info on the MS, thanks mmgf, shortened MakeMeGoFast...

i know i wont be taking my car down there until i get the new motor and own kids with it... legally of course...

posting again...KL motor is still sitting at TBK. you should just get it and go to a junk yard to grab the tranny for like $120. You are in Florida I am in Florida, I know this. Stop playing and wishing, you can get it done now cheap and good. :)

your right... i'm going to call them right now...
is that tranny in the car still? because i also need like the pedals, shifter, clutch line?, shift linkage, etc... i dont know a bunch about manual transmissions... im a crapamatic, crappy automatic, so yea... i mean i know how to drive manual and know the basics... but converting the auto to manual is one of the biggest issues i have to deal with... which will prolly add another grand to the installation... hmm... im sure if its less than $1k i could get it sooner than i would imagine... where is TBK?

*Update*
no one picked up... ill call again in a few... TBK is in Doral...... if i cant come up with the money to get it installed... idk where to keep the motor... i dont have a motor stand thing or chains and i doubt the apartment complex will let me keep it out on the porch...unless i cover it..... i guess ill just keep calling... maybe leave a message this time... i know that if i can come up with $1k, my financial advisor said they can get me another $1k, getting excited just thinking about it... :3

fool! it was a KL-DE motor... USDM KL... Mazda V6 at 160hp.... jk thanks for letting me know though... now going to do some research on Kl-DE to KL-ZE conversions without the motor swap... but since im building it... does it really matter what's inside? is it the same block, just different pistons, head, ecu and IM? because he quoted me pretty damn cheap, and it's in the same state... just a 4-5 hour drive to Miami, actually i might have it shipped he also quoted a low shipping fee... hmm time to do some research when i get home...

You should just use that one and boost it. The KL-DE should crank out some nice numbers boosted. It's more reliable, simpler and more HP per $$$. Good luck then and I hope the contact was good. You should just get that block, it needs a new home/engine bay. :)

the contact was really helpful and even looking for a tranny to bolt up to the motor... where is that tranny you were talking about?

took some pix today

Good'ol Florida... did the removal of the side moldings today... and here r the results

*UPDATE*

FS-DE Build
looking into getting some custom pistons, rods, and cams made! hoping to get some real numbers... I really like te idea of the TODA VTEC KILLER cams... where its like constant vtec... LordWorm informed that custom monster cam would achieve the same purpose... i love the way they sound! they quoted me $250 plus shipping if i sent in a pair of cams... now i want to know what degrees and lifts. I also want to find a head and just build it from there... send it to get Port and polished while i still have a vehicle to drive around in...
I am going to build the FS until i get a shell for the KL-ZE

KL-ZE Build
i believe i found a shell i want to put a KL-ZE in... its a Dark Forest Green MX-6... it has a KL-DE in it so the ZE would bolt on perfectly! it would be a nice project car... all it needs inside is a seat, harness and... thats about it... maybe a roll cage haha Track Only Car
me and my friend are looking for a project car and i believe the KL-ZE would be perfect... we want something all motor that would kill turbo cars... and i believe its possible with the KL-ZE

and the resort im staying at... so im not too bummed out

and the motor sounds so bad... theres some issues...

hmmm... my P5 sounds like this.... without the boost and turkey of course

so yea everything with the shop is getting taken care off... and now off to the engine news... it seems that i blew a gasket... just an exhaust gasket mind you... the gasket where the 4 goes to 2 on the header... making a very annoying sound that'll cost $30 to fix.... the shop will gasket match it bc the gasket that was on it wasnt... and no i did not put it on there... that is what the noise was...

i was hoping my motor was shot so that i could put the KL-ZE in there... havent checked the spark plugs since the puddle accident... my CELs are gone so i cant have it checked... they randomly turn off in traffic and turn back on in the highway... i get better gas mileage with it on for some reason...

hopefully i could swap the 626 manifold in when i have the money, or take out the vtcs for now... the vacuum lines are of course different and there are less on the 626 manifold... trying to figure out which vacuum lines goes where hmmmm....

but first things first, fix that annoying gasket! i'll get a vid of my car this weekend so you guys can hear and analyze what's wrong with my engine... other than the gasket leak there's something else...

how do i take out the spark plugs without the specific spark plug removal tool?

they fixd the exhaust leak with liquid seal... i prolly couldve done that myself....

after going to the dyno day in kissimee... my passion for the KL-ZE woke up inside me again....

so here i go again gathering my materials... the shop there said they'd do it and i thought it was fairly cheap for the swap and tune... they said they would have it drivable at the end of the day...

KL-ZE... here i go... no more parts for the FS-DE

just say "NO!", kids! no matter how good the deal is... with me being asian, if i find a good deal i go for it, even if i dont need it...

time to change my sig

working on it.... it's kind of a waste when i have a perfectly working motor in my car right now... i know that when the motor goes past 100k that's when i will prepare everything... i have about 30k to go...

and if my motor blows or hydrolocked that the KL-ZE is definately the motor that will replace it....
