Looks great, what header did you go with under that wrap? love the wrap also as I am sure that will help with engine bay temps very well :)

The reason I mention it is that it is very well documented that the stock ATx will handle no more than 4 psi even with an oil cooler before it slips and fails.

Even the modified Lentech Auto... Never survived Stock MSP boost of 7

not too worried about that, I know more then a few boosted auto Proteges that have lasted it all depends how you treat them and take care of them.

I only added boost to get a bit more power out of the car that i felt necessary to make it more enjoyable to drive everyday. If i wanted a fast car i would buy one that is fast to start with and it would have cost me less money in the long run. I also decided to go with a SC instead of a turbo because anyone can buy a turbo kit with all the parts needed and add it to these cars now. Plus the way i have designed and built this SC kit with the added help of a few good friends is unique to my car..

under that wrap is an OBX header. I hope it helps with the heat as the SC inlet is right beside it..

There was a night and day difference after I wrapped my header. You'll like it for sure. And for all record, I had mine wrapped for 2 years, snow, rain and sun without an issue of cracking. Now it's going on it's 3rd P5 with the same DEI wrap without any problems. :)

ya its always been wrapped but with the older style wrap, accidentally hit the wrap with a wrench and it fell apart so time for an upgrade.

thanks for posting, your P5 build is one that i checked often while debating what to do this winter to the car. Already have the calls into lentech for my valve body.

I mounted it right in front of the shifter. Pull the cup holder off and you will see the dead space. In my opinion best spot, since it has the least amount of bends.

adjusted the projectors since i redid them

oh its far from a rust bucket, it just lived 6 years of daily driving in the winter... almost every Mazda that lives in the salt belt has the same rust in the same spots..

Word..my MSP is the same. It'll get a full repaint once the motor is done.
