So - just had to post this, and see what other people think. I've had a CX-9 for a few years now, and generally been really happy with it. It's performed well (including on a couple of tricky 4WD roads, and doing some significant towing), been reliable, and looks great.
My one really big beef with the vehicle is the lack of an openable rear window. My previous SUV (brand shall be unnamed) had one and it was *fantastic*. It was hugely useful; mainly for the ability to stuff the back-end with luggage on trips but also to be able to quickly open up to fetch something out without having to waaaaaiiiiiittttt for the hatch to open, and also being able get things out of the back without the fear of them rolling off and potentially braking.
I'm not sure why any SUV maker would *not* include an openable rear window, but I notice that many (perhaps most) models don't have them.
What am I missing here?
And Mazda - please in your next generation(s) - make the rear window openable! I'll be a lot more likely to buy one again vs a competitor!
