Big hesitation while accelerating...

Ive been experiencing some big hesitation in all gears while accelerating...it only does it sometime, its not at a specific RPM either but definitly above 3700 rmp...

Im gonna call the dealer tomorrow to see whats up, any idea what it could be?

It's impressive how the maf sensor being bad will make the car run horribly!! All without throwing a code. Let me know how it runs afterward. Hopefully that's the issue, bad o2 sensor is still possible, best of luck!

Its not the Maf sensor since that one made the car throw a check engine light since the car was running rich...they already changed that one, they changed the o2 sensor aswell before since the car was running rich again...

Now its the mas air sensor they are replacing...Ive been going to the dealer quite often for stupid sensor in the past year.

I had the hesitation issue as well in higher RPMs and high gears. I changed my spark plugs to Denso ITV22 and it's all gone. You should give that a try.

the maf sensor is right after your air filter n u use MAF CLEANER u can get at any autoparts store..

I had the same problem and when I took my car to the dealer, they replaced both my turbo and the O2 sensor. This didn't fix the problem, but I am going to try to clean the MAF sensor too. I don't know if there was really a problem with the turbo, but my hesitation included smoke out the exhaust. They told me that my turbo was leaking oil. I guess getting a new turbo so easily isn't a bad thing...

They changed my MAF sensor now its been running perfect...so cleaning it might get rid of the hesitation

I notice that my MS3 falls flat on its face in 4th gear at WOT...

mods:
CP-e CAI
SU cold and hot pipe boost tube
TurboSmart dual port BOV

Goob, considering your mods. Check and clean your MAF sensor. Also make sure it's not loose. Had the same problem, only in first gear. Mine was dirty and loose, cleaned it and tightened it, never had a problem again.

Hey just a quick question, my map sensor on my 2000 protege is wonky and I need to replace it. I don't really know anything about cars so I just need to know where it is..? Thanks :)
