Best struts to match with Eibach springs

I'm pretty much convinced I'm gonna go with Eibach springs on my P5. I had the Pro Kit springs and dampers on my Focus and loved the ride and handling. But obviously Eibach does not make dampers for the P5. So what would be the best strut to go with the Eibach springs. I know there won't be any that are tuned for a perfect match, but I'd like to get as close as possible. Also any that have a lifetime warranty like the Eibach's??

the only option you have is the Mazdaspeed struts.

or save up and get a full coilover system like Teins or JICs.

So far...

Tokico is running a little behind on the HP's and Illuminas for the P5...They said they would be available by the end of August, and as far as I know they have not been released yet...

If you are looking for a good smooth ride the best would probably be the adjustable Illuminas...From my experience on other cars with them the lowest setting is comparable to stock struts in dampening and they get stiffer from there...

i wouldn't hold your breath on the illuminas... i doubt they will be realeased anytime soon...

the illuminas have been under development for over a year. ive called tockico on a number of occasions and always get the same story. i think AWR has revalved bilstiens though, anyone know for sure?

Well you actually have 2 choices. The Mazdaspeed ajustable ones, and the regular ones that come on the MP3, MSP.

MazdaSpeed adjustables are a thing of the past. You can't find them anymore (at least that's the concesus of most of the folks on the internet.) Your milage may vary...

I think the OE stock struts work fine with the Eibach Prokit springs. I just sold my MSP re-tuned factory Tokico's (a little harsh for my daily driver on Columbus, Ohio roads.) But hey, you may love them....

The OE struts are KYB front, Tokico rear. They're fairly stiff to begin with. The Eibach springs don't really make them work that much harder. And, if they blow out in a reasonable amount of time, they're cheap to replace! My local dealer parts dept. quoted me ~ $200 for all four. Not a bad price from a dealer.

I was thinking the same thing. Everything else available is very pricey, especially considering they don't carry a lifetime warranty like Eibach dampers do. Wish Eibach would make a total set for the P5. Or Apex.
