Best quality HID kit?

ok first the blue is not a ricer thing lol and you should try the ebay ones iv had them for 2 years and nothing has happend... only 38 shipped!

4300K is more white than yellow. But when you compare it to 5000K and 6000K kits it probably does seem a bit yellow. I personally prefer it because I'd rather get more useable light at night than cool looks. Furthermore, when it rains you will definitely notice that yellow light reflects better off the roads than any HID color. Anything above 4300K almost seems like you don't even have your lights on.

I have a relay installed on mine and the passenger bulb will still flicker upon startup. It's not the ballasts in my case as I tested them. I just ordered a some Morimoto 3Five 4300K bulbs from TRS. Hopefully those will emit the same shade of 4300K and not flicker. The DDM bulbs seem kinda cheap, but I expected that for the price I paid.

edited my original post. go for 35w dude. dont blind others! the 55w power isnt needed anyway

4300k is somewhat yellow (what i have)
5000k is bmw white roughly
6000k is bluish
8000k is blue
9000k hint of pink
10000k+ pink and purple

anything past 5000k and you actually LOSE visibility.

5000k 35w with the 15.00 battery harness in our cars is great - arctic white just barely off 4300k white white and no flicker nada. 3000k is yellow and would be good for fogs. 5000k does fabulous in rain or fog. You can see the texture of the roadway it's so good. I have nothing bad whatsoever to say for the 40.00 DDM kits - they fit and have lasted way beyond getting money's worth compared to how long good halogens last. I will buy from them again if ever needed. Also had bought h11 kit for the wife's Genesis Coupe. Same stellar stuff for the price. Sure, go spend 100 or more for the same thing with a supposed better name. Seen and heard of plenty of those people having just as many issues.

Make sure you mount the ballasts somewhere away from weather and car washing as much as possible is another suggestion I have. All of my ballasts are mounted in the engine bay out of harm's way.

The extra loomage in this pic ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ is the battery harness wiring & fuse.

I've never regretted getting 6K's for my P5 and my wife's Trailblazer. Definitely a blue-ish tint to them, but the light output is still plenty enough for me, and WAY more than factory. It lights street signs up from VERY far away, and I've never had to use the brights since installing them.

Yeah, 6000k is cool, about as far as I would go too. Kinda street light blugreenish. Kudos on your bulb mount improv...................

Haha..thanks!

And yea, 6K is my max too. My brother has 8K's in his lows and fogs on his Trailblazer SS, WAY too blue for me.
