Best P5 Tires?

:
03 Silver Protege5
What are the best tires I can get for the P5. Either 195 or 205, from 40-50 series. Not the best best, but the best value, ya know. With good treadwear and all that crap. Anybody have any opinions?

I just got a set of Nitto Neogens, one word: stickay! I love them, and the ride is quiet and smooth, they run around $100/ea depending on where you get them. (2thumbs)

The Dunlop SP Sport FM901 are probably your best bang for your buck... P205/50VR-16
yes the FM 901's are the shizznit...ive had them for a month and cant believe the difference they made over stock..very well balanced tire

Or the Cooper Zeon 2XS also size P205/50WR-16, cheaper still, but a great tire. (I had the Cooper XST's on my previous Protege and they gripped great, lasted long and were cheap in price.

I strongly agree about the Yokohama AVS ES 100s. The 205-50-16 tires fit on the stock rims fine. I ordered mine through Tire Rack, and had the dealer install them. I have not experienced a single problem with traction since. They are the best thing I have done to my car! The factory Dunflops suck ass.

Nitto 555R's drag radials....traction is great and they do well in the alabama winters! In a 16" size they'll run you about $120/per....good deal.

Dunlop SP Sport FM901 is what i got on my p5 and they are great, they are just a little noisy but nothing the stereo volume can't tune out, grips the road really good, its got good thread on them too. very affordable

I got the Bridgestone Potenza Re910, they seen to work damn good compared to a set of falcons i had on there .. damn falcons.

Hey.... Has anyone looked on E-bay?? They have a dude who sells some 195/50/16 tires by Federal for $58 bucks each shipped....

Even if they're not the best, you can't beat that price unless they don't hold air....

If you burn rubber like y'all say you do, this sound like a deal....

Anyone want to try em??? If you do.....

Let me know how they hold up....

Later...

get some 205/45/16 yokohama es100's i got mine fore $80 each and they are really really nice and a good value

Why would you get a 205/45-16 tire that is approx. 0.5" smaller in O.D. than our original 195/50-16? I would suggest a 205/50-16, a diameter similar to the 205/45-17 that came on the MP3...

Actually, I would love a set of MP3 wheels...

Kumho Ecsta supra 712's cheap, works good in dry and wet conditions, instant death on ice

I have the kumho 712's. I like them alot, but they're not for racing. They're good for around town hit'in corners having fun, but if you want to get serious you need bridgestone s02 or s03. But still still for $70 some dollars you can't beat the kumhos
