best motor mount?

I see you took off that metal bracket to get yours on, I was able to wiggle mine in with the help of some WD-40.

You'll love the mount man, give it a 1000 miles and your won't even know its there!

well I was getting ready to order a medieval motor mount today...but now you guys got me a little hesitant. Is this problem still happening or is all that in the past???

Others have just posted there results with the Medieval mount in the past week. As long as you order through Darkstar, you should not have an issue... nobody else has yet to my knowledge. You do the transaction with him, not Medieval.

I didn't want to risk it so I just ordered the TRZ Dogbone from PG tonight...I will post my impressions after I get it on along with my TXS test pipe.

wow, maybe its just me but I find another vendor calling out another vendor is pretty unprofessional.

i am not calling anyone out by pointing out a thread where people had bad experiences right after someone posts about having a bad experience in this thread. i have alot of professional and personal issues with the owner/founder/employee/whatever of medieval, none of which i have ever made public on this or any other forum, ever. that would be more akin to calling someone out.

i have been a member of this board for six years plus. i was a member before i sold a penny's worth of parts in this market. i have never left or made a real effort to branch out of this community because this community is really all that matters to me. if the title of 'authorized vendor' somehow robs me of the priveliege of pointing out a thread like that, then thats a shame. i don't think its unprofessional whatsoever. i have never bad mouthed their product for this car, i have never jumped in on a GB thread or GI thread of theirs and trashed their products, and i never will.

My situation is all worked out I received my mounts and installed the rear mount yesterday with no problems. I am sure the vibes will calm down once the mount is broken in a bit but all in all shifting is much better. And I think the mount gives ya an all around better feel for the car. The tranny mount should go in new years day which is my next day off.

i understand, i just do not agree, but I see where you are coming from. No worries (drinks)

Tell me how long or hard it was to put in the tranny mount!

There really isn't much info on the install of this mount so i will try to remember my camera and get some pics of the install and the mount if you like. I did find a thread that said it took about an hour so I will let you know how it goes. It's goin in on my next day off which is thursday.

I'd say about 40 minutes. These are the directions that I followed:

1. disconnect and remove battery, jack up under engine/transmission
2. unbolt and remove battery box from car
3. unbolt and remove battery box bracket from car
4. remove OEM mount bolt from rubber mount and transmission bracket
5. undo all four nuts to chassis, remove transmission mount
6. drop new transmission mount into place, move transmission back into position and drop in mount bolt.
7. tighten chassis nuts and mount bolt
8. replace battery tray and battery box
9. reconnect battery

I say for the mount, you can't beat black inserts for $30 that look stock. Go for the intake as well.

Your next mod is going to be based on what you want from your car next, and what your plans are for the vehicle. Sounds like me when I first started, wanted everything easily swappable in case of warranty.... I'm pretty far gone now and looking into fuel pump and tuning to make all my s*** run right. Anyway, for a bit of sound and power, test pipe is a great easy and relatively inexpensive mod. If you want the "blow off" sound, which most of us do, the forge bypass is a favorite. I never liked the swords clashing sound, but to each his own. You could also run a hybrid valve for a bit more noise, or something like a greddy type-s in recirculate (as a bypass) for a distinctive sound.

Let us know what you come up with. Always enjoy helping!

what does that mean "in recirculate" and how do you do that cuz i have a greddy type s ??

I put the medieval tranny (drivers side)mount in today and pulled it back out. I do have a bunch of pics and a list of the tools needed. I for whatever reason had fitment issues once the mount was installed it's a two piece design but once everything was installed the bottom half with the bushing was mounted and I put the top half on and tightened everything it always sat crooked I tried to counteract the angle by using washers to even everything out with no luck. I pulled and installed the mount like 4 or 5 times to try and make it fit in a way I felt comfortable driving but it always sat crooked. You could see the the main bolt in the bushing bending once I lowered the jack. Has anybody else installed this mount specifically that may have an idea what is up? Oh and one more thing the bottom half of the mount with the bushing has a base that is too thin for the studs and bolt and you have to stack washers to tighten properly. Those who have done this mod know the stock one is pretty thick.

I'm contact Medieval about this right now!
