Best Boost Guage, Lookwise?!?

Hi there guys, looking at installing a boost guage and I am considering the AEM Boost guage or the sheaper alternative from Prosport. I like the digital display from AEM but like the price of the prosport better.

Can anyone offer any help with either of these guages. Also it appears that both guages are digital and use an electrical sensor to get readings, are they more difficult to install?

:)

Welp, the pro-sport have memory.. so you can set peak and warning which is a nice touch. Ive got Pro-sport Boost, EGT, Oil Pressure. Than i have a Innovative LC-16 AFR.

If you want a good tool, get a MSD Dashhawk.. it reads all of the sensors, including boost at the same time, is digitial... does datalogging and allows you to read CEL codes and clear them. Personally, i wouldnt waste my money on an AEM gauge.

Thanks Haltech, how was the install for you? With these new boost guages do you still need to run vacuum lines and such or just connect it to solenoid and run the electrical lines.

i have the premium boost gauge. its great, good color, warning/peak. Install was pretty easy, only difficult part is running tube through the fire wall

I left my sensor in the engine compartment. I used the supplied T, hooked it into the vac line coming off the BPV. Mounted the sensor to the firewall and ran the hose to it. Ran the power wire on the sensor to the fuse box, grounded it to the firewall than ran the ground into the car.. Hooked the gauge up inside, added power, acc power and ground, than splice into the green sensor wire i brought into the car. Done deal. Pro sport has changed the sensor about 3 times, so your install will vary depending on which sensor you received.
