well i was looking for a new intake, having owned Turbo & supercharged cars, as well as a 2k CivicSI, i undertand the use of breathing!
but i really didn't want to spend $2-$300 on a CAI system. so i simply ordered a Cone style filter from my local import shop, (ended up buying a Tenzo R one for $19.95) i simply removed the top section of the stock box & the stock filter, let the o2 sensor sit in the bottom & installed the new filter on the end of the MAS.

results, well, nice sound, & imporved throttle responce.
cheers,

YEAH THESE SHORT RAMS "MAY IMPROVE" THROTTLE RESPONSE MINIMALLY...THESE ENGINES AND COMPUTERSDONT REACT GOOD TO HOT AIR...THUS WHY U SHOULD MAKE YA OWN CAI...IT WILL BENIFIT U EVEN BETTER...OR JUST CONTACT BIG BEN AND SE IF HE MAKE ANYMORE:p

well..the pieces seem to make a psuedo ram-air style system if u check the plumbing... i figured it couldnt hurt...
kind of, but that resonator below it does. Might want to either chop that off, or just take the assembly out entirely. There's a nice straight shot for the air right under the hood line. And NYCZMP3 is right, and from the looks of the typing also on speed.;) Our ECU's retard perhaps more than they should. Short rams breathe better, but the warm air from the compartment can harm performance.
That said, looks good!!!! Good cheap mod!

another thing you can do...

another thing you can do is just get a k&n stock filter. trust me i felt some more power out of that... . it also has the same results, nice sound& imporved throttle responce.

a good way to keep it cheap and save for my turbo.

Make sure you don't break your MAS...hanging the filter straight on it doesn't seem too sturdy.
