BEGI TURBO UPDATE (CONTINUED)

was it a perfect fit or u have to modify it so it could fit on the mp3, also kflyfshr7, i was wondering, once we get the 25 ppl for this turbo stuff, r u really willing to give out yer car for 3months????

well, with mazda releasing a Turbo mp3 with just going 180hp i guess our best bet is still here. come on ppl, sign up!!!!

There won't be any more MP3's.

And if/when Mazda does a turbo on the Protege, no one knows how much power it will have. The article that was mentioned only said it would be nice to have that power from a small turbo.

If this turbo comes out well...as in at LEAST 190hp "well", at a reasonable price, then I'm definitely IN.

Corky is going to fly to PA and drive my car back to TX. At least this is what we are considering. I will then fly to TX and pick up my MP3 when it is done. It would be much, much easier if RAZAEL would donate his car since he is right in SAN Antonio but we will make due either way. I can't wait to get this TURBO installed. If my catback made that much of a difference, imagine what 40-65 more horses will do!!!

hey, im not @ san antonio! and believe me, i cannot afford to be that long without a car! now, there is this LEONARDO guy that does live in San Antonio

hey im definitely in how would be go about giving a CC over the phone, can you post a number or perhaps an address that we can send it to? Also will we be receiving receipts for our deposits as proof of "purchase". Any and all information that you can give would be really helpful so that we can get this thing underway!

I was just wondering, if we get this Turbo, whatis it going to consist of changing to work? Meaning, do we need to get forged pistons, different exhaust, ect.... Just educate me on this.....LataZ

I am in San Antonio, so far it seems that I am the only on e on this board who is, although i know there are other MP3s around here, seen two from afar while driving on the highways around here. I am sorry but I simply can not be without the car for 3 to 6 months. If i could I would. I have already however, volunteered fro the second test car already which would be 2 weeks to a month from what i understand. that is definitely doable for me. Sorry for not being able to step to the plate for the original test car. I just cant do it. Thought about all kinds of options but it just can't be done.

There really isn't going to be any need for upgrading parts within the engine bay-everything needed is included in the "kit". Corky did inform me that going to a catback with a 2.5 inch pipe would maximize performance from the turbo. Obviously, if you change headers, cams and air filters, you are going to get the optimum performance out of the turbo. Contact Corky at 830-438-2890 if you have any technical questions.
