Do you guys get Moosehead and Sleeman down there? Another good one is Creemore springs....mmmmmmm :D

Moosehead - yes. The other 2 - no. Let me know if you would like to send some.

How rob, are you talkinga bout the capital or whatnot? With the frozen bar and they talk to you about each beer as they pour it?

My personal favorite that is readily available is Sam Adams Octoberfest. The best I've ever had was from a microbrewery out in podunk alaska I got while on a cruise. Was made with pine needles. Stuff was crazy good.

Yep that must be it, they have a froozen slap on the bar for people to lay drinks done on it. Personally I don't like really cold beer that much.
Great place.

Hell Yes!! Sam Adams Octoberfest - I love it! And; I still haven't had any yet this year. You can bet it will be one of our early tastings on the first couple of shows. And then, of course, The Christmas beers should be showing up soon after. (thumb)

That's very cool! A radio show about cars! Cool! (cool)

Yes, it would be, but alas, my attempts at humor failed again. I don't host a radio show, let alone one about cars...I was just playing the angle for free stuff :p

Like I said, I will keep an eye out for some local stuff for you.
Peace.

hmm good beers eh? what sort of quantities are you looking for?
i could organise a few samplers - but i'll have to work something out with ya.... basically anythign from here thats not fosters is good... how about the 7 states of australia, and its not that water stuff like bud!!

Indeed; San Diego has some really great beers . Stone Brewery is in North County. Most known for their Arrogant Bastard Ale - which is the only beer we can get locally here in our area.

We usually like (2) bottles for the show of a particular flavor. Unless; it's a 22oz. bottle. Then; One is fine.

(drinks) Just got back from the Capital Ale House in Richmond :D
Nothing big to report back this time, just had a pint of Bastard and my g'friend had some Peach beer that came in a wine looking bottle. Was good and all but didn't really taste like beer, more of a Peach Wine.

btw anyone actually read the writting on the Bastard Ale? LOL funny chit.

RE: Your girlfriend had a Peach Lambic (belgian ale). They are most unusual.

It may have been this brand (Lindeman's). Not really a beer I like, but they are popular among many beer lovers. Typically; the belgian ales yeast bring about this most unique character. It is a wild yeast - not like what is used in other beers. Not to mention; the addtion of fresh fruit during fermentation.

About Arrogant Bastard bottles (and their descriptions); check out any other of the bottles by Stone Brewery. They are a lot of fun! (cheers)

A description of Lindeman's beers:
Lindemans Peche Lambic - Belgium. Method Champenoise. This is a bottle conditioned Wheat beer whose color is golden and whose nose reveals a crisp and refreshing balance of peach and malt. The procedure is comparable to Kriek. The result is a fresh fruity drink with a background of the rich bouquet of Lambic. These beers are mostly drunk as appetizers. They are noted for their strong, fruity bouquet and fresh taste of raspberry, peach or blackcurrant.

Damn it lol how did you guess it exactly by my lack of description. That was the beer, I wasn't nuts for it but did least taste good and have a good after taste.

From the where to send complaints lable on the Bastard:
(going from memory but gives the general idea)
"If you have a complaint about this beer, tuff! We don't want to hear from anyone who hates this beer and is most likey a drinker of those million dollar piss breweries." :D

I could go into Mexico and look around. Or I might taste and tell you what its like. Dont mean to thread jack in any way but, couple of weeks ago they a a Tequilla festival. Tons of diffrent brands for free. I believe they told me it was just a $5 dollar entry fee.

where in the u.s. can your show be heard?

In the Memphis (Mid-South) area. Also; on a world band radio, I guess. If you send me beer that is unique to your area (beer I cannot get here), I will send you a tape of the show, where we feature your beers. We taste the beers on the air, and talk about them. Their character, style, etc... Plus; it will be listed on our website.
