So i just moved to the northwest and my stock tires weren't doing much for me in the snow, i was wondering if the p5's can take beefier or off roady tires?

^ what size are you running?

i'm running dunlop graspic's right now (205/55/15), they're really good for snow traction, but as soon as there's a slick patch it takes me till 3rd gear of lagging to get full traction.
I have installed a set of them on a customer vehicle, they were really good, very grippy on slick packed snow, and loose! I was very impressed with the performance.

Welcome to the birth place of rain. I tend to keep a set of Goodyear Ultra Grips around for extreme conditions...and otherwise run an all season compatible performance tire. Also, if you have a cold air...ditch it for an SRI.
