i just got back from kens house now, at 5 in the morning, I almost died, my tires blown, and my cars a little bit ****** up.

i was coming back up 94, just a mile or two out of gurnee. I was behind this older car with a metal bumper, and while the person was driving it actually fell off. I saw it and tried to swerve, didnt miss it, ripped through my front bumper and caught my rear wheel, completely blowing it out. This in turn poped the rear of my car up or something, which sent me into a 180 spin going backwards. Luckily nobody was behind me. I then sat on the side of the road from like 1am until 4am, trying to find ken or pats cell phone number with the interent phone, which didnt work then my phone died. AAA finallt showed up around 4 and I had to have them tow it all the way to milwaukee, which was almost 200 dollars.

yeah i was really angry for awhile, but than while sitting in the rain next to the highway, i realized it could have been much worse. Then I had a interesting conversation with the towtruck driver about differences in corn farming here and in mexico. The car could have been far worse off, now I just need a new front bumper, which isnt a big deal. So its cool, life moves on.

did you get the liscense plate of the other car? that was basicaly a hit and run on their part, I bet you can get them to pay for your bumper

nope i really wish i did, it was rainy and dark, I wasnt really even looking at them until i saw this flash from my lights reflecting. It was like half of a large metal bumper, curved on one end then straight. The curved end is what cut through my bumper, then I think the straight part is what blew the tire. I wish i could have taken pics of the tire, the entire side had just blown out.Luckily it missed the foglight, and didnt hit the intercooler coupler.

i am so sorry to hear about that rob. at least you have a good attitude about it. i did get your message when you called my on saturday, but i didnt get it until about 7pm. i figured it was probably too late by the time you drove down. plus, we were getting ready to leave to go eat. hopefully next time everything will work out and you will be able to come down.
