battery wont stay charged

alt is new but still wont take charge volt meter in car stays at zero any ideas as to what the problem is or how to trouble shoot.

bad grounds or bad alternator.. have the alternator checked.. I know its new but it can still be faulty..

if the grounds are corroded or rusty u should undue all of them and clean them up... the one under the battery try on the frame gets nasty and if u pull it off and sand it clean (sand the frame) then it will get a better connection..

another thing is make sure the connecter is plugged on tight..

Also could be a bad battery.. if it has been abused during the last alt going out, or its old it may just not hold a charge anymore..

I just had my battery jumped and now my dashboard says "dsc off" Anyone knows what that means?

no RX7 I know of says "DCS"

yeah, bad ground for sure. if you can't find a bad ground, look at the harness where it plugs into the alternator. make sure it plugs up tight. if you can jump start the car with no battery, the alternator is fine. if you can't, your alternator is bad.
