Hey.. Listen to this.... While the car was running I mistakenly dropped a wrench on the two battery termials and grounded my positive battery terminal to the ground...(boom05) but only for a split second and the car stopped.... I turned it over and it started right up... but the battery dummy light came on... I already bought a new alternator thinking it was the voltage regulator AND a new battery... battery is good and the voltage to the battery while running is 13.2V.... is there a fuse or relay that I'm missing?.... can anyone help please as I'm to drive a long distance this weekend? (dunno)

Dude...is that you in your avatar? That's awesome. Anyway, you may have damaged your battery, even though it's still starting. That just says it has enough cranking amps to start the car. But voltage should be right at 14.4v when the car is running. You may have fried a cell or something like that.

Try replacing it with a known good battery from another car just temporarily to see if that does it.

i dunno man take it to an autozone or something and see if they will test your system for you it could be a selonoid or relay or something...

Yea guys... it's all new... maybe I'll reset the fault codes... see if that works...

First thing I would have done! Just disconnect the Positive terminal for a few minutes. Reset the ECU.

you probally blew the fuse for the alternator under the hood.. kinda like if you jump a car backwards.. may not look bad but try replacing it anyway
