bank 1 too rich

one of my thoughts was since the way the SSAFC works is it tells the car im running real rich and the car compensates by leaning out and maybe its telling the ecu im real rich? possible?

to re-iterate what i was trying to explain in my second to last post, is it possible that since the way the SSAFC works is... to lean out the air:fuel it takes the signal from the 1st o2 sensor and tells the ecu that it is running too rich therefore the ecu leans it out to compensate. so is it possible that the SSAFC is telling the ecu its wayyyyy tooooo rich and throwing a code? cuz i was thinking i could get a fuel pressure to reduce the amount of fuel in the mixture naturally this way i can have the ssafc lean out the mixture a bit less? anyone have any ideas if this sounds believable? my plan is to put the stock map back on, all numbers at 10 and see if i get the code again, deff gotta bring boost back down to stock though to avoid fuel cut. ill prob lose a lot of money in gas too. but its worth a shot to finally get rid of this ******* CEL!!!

anyone know if it could be engine coolant temp sensor? the one that sends the info to the ecu? cuz i also noticed if i try to boost before the engine is completely warm i get weird afrs

bump intresting read, wish i Had a ssafc....love troubleshooting.at what point can you start +/- fuel?

any time, but typically you only want to take it away after you hit 1-2psi. and just let the ecu choose afrs for out of boost, works great for me. some people have trouble for when they go WOT saying it cuts fuel randomly right before 3 rpm but i managed to tune that out so i have great afrs all throughout the rpm range if i go wot at 2k rpm. but i typically wait for 3 just for power and engine conservation reasons

hmmm my thought was I would start adding fuel at -5 then start cutting out once i start going positve. my thought there is a dead spot at 3000 rpms the car dwells you boost but the car doesnt register the boost and throttle postion system goes lean bad for like 1.2 second hate that spot so i always boost at 4000rpms all the way to 6000rpms

how so and do you have to adjust as far as when the vics activate or where your's deleted?

do you tune in forth since its almost 1 to 1 ratio and you see the fuel curve longer and in detail?

wow sorry stealing the thread my bad bumping staying tuned to this still intresting.

well i try to tune in 3rd as much as possible, its whats recommended, but if im trying to tune the whole psi range for a single section of rpm such as 1-12 psi for the 3k rpm range ill do it in forth this way the psi goes all the way up before i hit the next rpm range (3.5k) also my map looks like this http://i56.tinypic.com/344zhq0.jpg
sorry if its too big.

naw good notes, cant wait for when its my turn to figure this car out.. mostly been changeing the diameter of the vac lines to solinoids to see what happens and how the car reacts.

bump? anyone hear of coolant temp sensor messing with the ecu like this? i read it on like a ford focus forum or something
