Balck Speed3 on 17x8.5 Rota Slips "PICS"

man that looks amazing.. im thinking of downgrading too some 17's too.. but i think ill go with a 17x8 so that i cna get a 245 tire on there.. do you think that shuld fit okay?.. or would 235 be better??

i cant answer that question. I did not try the 8 inch so i cant say yes or no. Sorry.

Sweet! I was thinking of going 17's too and going wide wheels as well. I don't mind the tires rubbing on the inside though, it only would happen when turning full lock. Do you think you can get a side shot of the car?

Oh yeah, is your name Nader? If so, I was the dude that bought the Forge BPV off you (cool)

You are my hero! (rockon)

I am picking up at a set of 17x8.5 next year with that offset. I am surprised to hear the 245's rubbed in the front. I run 245s on 18x8s +48 and I have no rubbing on inside. Do you mean the inside strut or some plastic panel?

I know Cobb is runin 255's on 18x8.5 with a +52 offset and they didn't rub so I am confused as to how 245's rub with +48 on same width rim. Every tire is different but only other explanation is that the potenzas must have a really wide section width. I don't see how they can overcome a 10mm width+4mm on the offset.

In any case, love the setup.

Those wheels are 19.36lbs as per wheeldude (subydude).

maybe they are using wheel spacers?

You have to remember that when you drive the car, parts from the suspension move around also. I'm just being safe and doing everything right the first time . Why should i go with bigger tire? More money and our cars dont look right if is too wide. It is wide enough and is flush with the fender. Nice and clean. But is your car and your money.

Thanks man. I'll keep that in mind. I've always wanted an E39 M5. It's been my dream car since high school.

With the car being fwd and all the weight going to the back, I end up spinning my 245s very easily (while autocrossing). In a straight line, or track, it might be different. I already have my fenders rolled so 255s with 8.5 is the next logical route if I can fit it in there. Of course, these rims/tires will only be for autox days, I don't care how it looks, as long as it cuts my time. I wouldn't want to run a crazy setup on streets.

remember is also the weight of the rim. I did not get light rims because for a reason. People are getting rims that are 15lbs. For sure your not going to have traction.
