Back up Noise.

Do all of you guys have the annoying whiney noise when you back up?? This is my first Manual car so Im not sure if all manual cars are like that... feedbacks Plz.

Every manual in the world does that I remember reading on some site why it does it but I can't remember. Personally I love that sound.

miatas dont, or at least my 93 miata that i used to have didnt.

I had a Mustang GT that did it as well. I think it's probably because the reverse gear in the tranny is so small. I love that sound too

heHeHe Maybe its coz im so used to no sound for the auto trannies... i guess i'll grow to like it! Ahaha

Oh ya... and im getting 4 season tires for my baby ... im kinda choosing between the TOYO Proxes FZ4 and Dunlop SP5000... any tips and suggestions?

SP5000's are awesome tires I have only good feed back on them. But the FZ4's are better in the corners! Is there a reason you are changing your dunlops? they are very very good tires!

O. im not changing my SP9000s' I Love them~ Its just that im getting a set of 16" tires for my car for the winter.
Because SP9000 + Snow =

16" Montegi Racing MR7 + Toyo FZ4 or Dunlop Sp5000

the reverse gear in the trans is a "straight cut" gear. thats why they whine, the other gears are cut to mesh and be quiet. I think they call them helical cut.
