Just got back last night from a week in North Carolina. Spent a few days off-roading at Tellico as well as a few choice days on the gap and at the Cherohala Skyway. Had some good weather and got in some great riding. Amazingly enough we never saw one cop. Thank god, as I'd give them about 100 reasons to ticket me. Saw lots of gorgeous cars and bikes, namely 3 Ducati Hyper-Motards absolutely tearing it up together. First time I've seen someone get down on their elbows on a public road.
Had my uncle come over from Knoxville with his KTM Duke, definitely an interesting riding partner for a set-up like mine. He was definitely surprised just how my "old man cruiser" can move. Heard lots of stories and had a lot of fun. I'd highly suggest a trip down, just make sure you go during a weekday.
I know it's not Mazda, I can't be bothered to do anything with the Protege these days.
Here are the photos.
