B6t

Im buying and 88 323 GT, the body is supposedly in pretty bad shape and the suspenion needs 4 new coils and a shock tower to be repaired, but the engine and tranny are in perfect running condition, so i was wonder is the B6T a direct bolt on to a 93 323 hatchback, because i was thinking of picking one up, they sell cheap, and doing an engine/tranny swap. If its not what are the things i would need to purchase for this swap. Remembering that the 88 GT im buyin is a complete running car, just way to much body and suspension work on it, to much time and money and im a lil low on both. I might keep the body though and do a restoration when i have more time and money to put into it

It would be cheaper to repair the one you have now then to find another, Later 323 and swapp the power plant and transaxle, Then strengthen the rest of the cars drivetrain to handle the extra power. These are not direct fit swaps for the BG chassis. The BPT would be a direct swap for the most part, as long as you have all the mounts, etc. Personally bro, Ide just restore the car as it is. Its a very rare car, and it will work alot better then going through the grime of the swap and making sure everything else works right. The BG 323's all had lower based braking systems, which if it where me doing the swap, I would redo that as well as the suspension. Dont get me wrong though, the BG platform is a very good one to work off of, as there is also a bit more in the way of parts and support. Not to mention the 323 BG hatch's are wicked light when done right and handle very well.
But if your like me, Money and time are hard to come by, and in the end, The original GT does very well for itself, and is worth every cent. ;)

I went to look at he car, the main problem is the fact that the car needs about 5grand to make it pass inspection, i would have to redo tho whole exhaust line, its a straight pipe 2.5in from the headers to the end, and empty tube basically, lol, the shock tower is cracked in 2 spots, rust inside the doors, one of the front fenders is pushed forward, gota realign that, front bumper, lights, need new light sockets, etc, theres alot of work, which i want to do, but im just thinking of doin a quick engine tranny swap, just to have fun, the car alrdy has an aftermarket turbo from a nissan sr20 motor, its pushing around the 200mark alrdy, i just wanna put it in another body till i can restore the GT. So many people told me the engine/tranny were direct bolt on to the BG chasis. were would i find the engine mounts for this swap if needed and how much am i looking at??

Oh the car starts, it needs a massive tuneup but it sounds sooooo sick, the blow off and exhaust, wow i had a stiffy and yea like i said its alrdy boosting higher than stock, round the 200hp mark lol :D Tranny has a stage 1 or 2 clutch which is in good condition

The engine runs mint, except for sum choking till it runs a bit, but it hasnt run in a long time, it boosts super nicely, 1 small leak in the intercooler piping but its the stock one and im putting a FMC with all new piping. as for engine work, fix the intercooler piping and tune up and do a oil change and flush it out and do another one, it puffs a lil bit of oil, but its a 21 year old car with a turbo so its to be expected, oh and it only has 176000km's.hopefully soon im raping civics down the street.

And as for braking and suspension, i was gunna do disc conversion on the BG and performance suspension wen i had extra cash
