Yeah, it's not a Protege, but close enough. Does anyone have/know the designation (4 letter code) that is printed on the ECU case for a 323 GTX/GT ECU (1.6L)? I had a thread going about this somewhere, but I'll be damned if I can find it. I'm such a noob. I tried Reich Racing, but they're not willing to provide support for non-customers. (blah)

try fordlaser.com.au and go into there 323 area, or go to http://www.323gtx.co.uk and try asking there , its pretty much the biggest site for gtx/gtr info.
Unfortunately, that site relates to the BP-T (1.8L). I need info for for the B6T.

However, I think I've found it. For those that happen to need the same info, I've found the following ECU numbers for the NA 323 GTX/GT:

B6B3 xx 881B
B6B4 18 881A
B6B1 18 881B

The B6B4 ECU will not run an American 1.6, as per Brian @ ReichRacing. Oddly enough, I was running a chipped B6B4 in my 88GTX for a few years but I don't know what was done to it to make it work.

The ECU for the Capri XR2 will not work with the GTX, for reasons only known to Reich Racing.

The other ECU I have (and am currently running) is the B6B3 and is chipped by Reich.
